BLS Disclaimer

Effective Date: August 12, 2025

Please read the following disclaimers and disclosures carefully before using the VR BLS application (“the App”). Your access to and use of the App is conditioned upon your acceptance of and compliance with these terms. By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these terms.

  1. For Educational and Training Purposes Only
The VR BLS application is designed as a supplemental educational tool to help users practice and refresh their knowledge of Basic Life Support (BLS) protocols in a simulated virtual environment. The content and scenarios provided within the App are for training and informational purposes only. The App is intended to complement, not replace, comprehensive medical training and education.
  1. Not a Substitute for Professional Certification
This App does not provide certification in Basic Life Support. Successful completion of modules within this App does not constitute a valid BLS certification. To obtain a recognized certification, you must complete an accredited, hands-on training course with a certified instructor from a recognized organization, such as the American Heart Association (AHA), the American Red Cross, or an equivalent national body in your jurisdiction. The cognitive skills practiced in this App are only one component of resuscitation training and cannot replace the physical skills assessment and in-person instruction required for official certification.
  1. No Medical Advice
The information, simulations, and feedback provided by the App are not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The App does not and cannot provide medical advice for any specific situation. In the event of a real medical emergency, you must contact your local emergency services (e.g., by dialing 911) immediately. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have learned or practiced in this application. Use of this App does not create a doctor-patient or any other professional-client relationship.
  1. Accuracy and Updates to Content
We strive to ensure the content within the App is consistent with current, widely accepted BLS guidelines (e.g., from the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) and the American Heart Association). However, medical knowledge, standards, and resuscitation guidelines are constantly evolving. We do not warrant the completeness, reliability, or accuracy of the information presented. It is the user’s responsibility to stay informed of the latest guidelines from official resuscitation councils.
  1. Assumption of Risk
You acknowledge and agree that you are using this App at your own risk. The practice of BLS involves inherent risks, and the application of skills learned from a simulation in a real-world scenario is done at your sole discretion and risk. VRKure (or the “Company”) assumes no responsibility for actions taken by users in real-life medical emergencies, regardless of their training or experience with the App.
  1. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE COMPANY, ITS AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, PERSONAL INJURY, WRONGFUL DEATH, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR OTHER DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR ACCESS TO, USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, OR ANY ACTIONS YOU TAKE IN A REAL-WORLD SITUATION BASED ON THE TRAINING RECEIVED THROUGH THE APP.
  1. Technical Simulation Limitations
You understand that a virtual reality simulation, no matter how advanced, cannot perfectly replicate the complexities, stresses, and infinite variables of a real-life cardiac arrest or medical emergency. The haptic feedback, visual cues, and patient responses within the App are simulations and may differ significantly from a real human patient. The App cannot simulate all possible medical conditions, anatomical variations, or complications that may arise during a resuscitation attempt.
  1. Jurisdictional Considerations
Basic Life Support protocols and legal requirements regarding bystander intervention can vary by country, state, and region. The content in this App is based on generally accepted international guidelines, but users are responsible for being aware of and complying with the specific protocols and laws applicable in their jurisdiction.
  1. Acknowledgment and Agreement
By using this VR BLS application, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all the terms and conditions outlined in this Disclaimers and Disclosures document. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the App.
